Responsibilities:
  • The Marcom Manager has primary responsibility for marketing administration, coordination and supervision of the S&M department to achieve top line objectives and goals.
  • Overall deliverable is maximization of revenue opportunities through specific marketing action plan.
  • Assist in the implementation of all Sales & Marketing related Policies & Procedures specific to Communications function so as to create a strong external corporate image and adhere to Company and Hotel Policies & Procedures.
  • Assist to Develop, implement, maximize, monitor and evaluate the hotel’s communication objectives, strategies, including advertising, public relations and graphics and collateral, so as to support the Objectives set in the Annual marketing Plan.
  • Ensure that an effective and efficient day to day communications both internally in conjunction with Human Resources and externally with the hotel’s marketing partners is implemented.
  • Stimulate communication skills to all employees by setting an example.
  • Key Deliverables shall include:
  • Organizing and coordinating media visits.
  • Understanding the Marketing budget.
  • Use of new media (twitter, facebook and other platforms) to market the hotel.
  • Evaluating marketing opportunities and calculating ROI’s in line with the hotel’s brand.
  • Assisting Sales team in delivering of top line in line with the business plan.
  • Working closely with outsourced agencies and vendors for Online reputation management companies, digital marketing companies and other agencies.

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or related fields; member of related professional associations/clubs, with related professional qualifications would be desirable.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of managerial experience in Marketing Communications in the hospitality industry; 4 to 5 years with an international star hotel and experience in PR consultancy or with the media would be an advantage.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English language; ability to speak a third language (especially Mandarin) would be an advantage. Ability to translate would be an advantage.
  • Experienced in preparing marketing plans for various parts of the business.
  • Able to read market-related reports and analyzing the information and experience in sales an advantage.
  • Strategic and forward thinking; able to drive short term tactical initiatives to drive demand.
  • Strong results-orientation and competency in soliciting marketing opportunities to capitalize revenue opportunities.
  • A good understanding of the Hotel(s)’ key feeder market/market segments.
  • Understanding of social media marketing platforms (Facebook, Twitter, etc.); proficiency in using MS Office and hands-on knowledge of graphic software would be desirable.
  • Knowledge of emerging social media platforms.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong administration and multi-tasking ability.
  • Strong focus on teamwork and smiling personality.
  • Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines and manage projects independently.
  • Resourcefulness in solving problems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to details.
  • Strong work ethics.
  • Through understanding of new media and traditional media is critical.
