Responsibilities
  • The Supermarket / Store Manager reports to the Director or COO and is responsible for all aspects of the store's / supermarket’s operation including its financial results. He/She must plan, organize, direct, and control all store / supermarket activities and operations plus make effective and objective decisions regarding operational choices in work procedures, inventory allocations, ordering, scheduling and other situations where multiple factors must be considered and weighed to maximize operating results. 
  • Responsible to maximize sales and profit to achieve overall business goals and objectives.
  • The Senior Supermarket / Store Manager must observe and enforce all store rules and company policies and ensure all employees adhere to company procedures. They emphasize and role model company customer service standards and maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance, observing company dress code.
  • Involve in new store/supermarket planning, development and construction project.
  • This position must prepare store projections and store operating budgets and is responsible for employee schedules and controlling labor and other overhead costs.
  • Able to plan, develop and manage tactics to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Able to leading a team to achieve the supermarket’s targets
  • Able to control costs and managing operational routines.
  • Able to ensure high standards and the correct management of all supermarket processes
  • Able to coach, train and encourage / motivate a supermarket team.
  • Able to lead the supermarket team in ensuring strict compliance with customer service standards, operating procedures and food safety. 
The ideal qualifications, skills and experiences:
  • A degree / diploma holder would be preferred but not essential.
  • At least 5 to 10 years of supervisory experience in a related industry.
  • Experience of working in a supermarket or convenience store is essential.
  • Demonstrate a passion for delivering brilliant customer service.
  • Strong passion for the retail industry, willing to put in extra hours.
  • Calm, confident and proud of store/supermarket standards, friendly and approachable, enthusiastic and energetic.
  • Love leading, motivating, training and developing their team.
