Company: An established property development company.
The Financial Analyst Manager will implement and interpret
accounting and financial concepts for financial planning and control; performs
analyses to determine present and future financial performance; and gathers,
analyses, prepares, reviews, and summarizes financial plans, forecasts and
variance analyses in support of corporate operations. In addition, this
position will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial results and
consistency with corporate policies and procedures; and identifying and
communicating risks and opportunities. Some of the major responsibilities are:-
- Work on diverse finance & coordination functions and assisting the Group CEO in Financial Planning & Analysis and Reporting.
- Coordinates and performs financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis.
- Monitors attainment of financial and non-financial metrics.
- Assists with the coordination and implementation of the annual corporate budget process and interim forecasts.
- Assisting the CEO in tracking the key business parameters of the business.
- Preparation and review of Profitability Reports and Variance analysis with estimates and projections.
- Assist the CEO in generating and analysing Business MIS & Financial MIS, Co-coordinating with various departments.
- Scanning & Analysis of Industry Peers/New business.
- Develops new reporting and analytical tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of monitoring the performance of assigned groups.
- Project progress & budget monitoring.
- Manage and ensure execution of specific assignments / projects initiated by the CEO.
- Interaction and relationship building with Industry Consultants to ensure quick information availability.
- Ensuring that strategic initiatives are driven across the organization and key projects are tracked and monitored.
- Preparation & analytical study of various financial reports viz. projected profitability statement, periodic financial report.
- Developing project deliverables (presentations, status updates) in developing the firm’s strategy by performing analysis to deliver relevant and insightful management information, together with assisting in business planning and development.
- Coordination of Finance meetings for Strategic issues & follow-up on the decided actions.
- Preparation of presentations & reports for the CEO for his presentations to stakeholders.
- Interactions with external agencies, consultants on behalf of the CEO.
- Liaises on key topics with the dedicated financial support teams from SBUs, Corporate Finance organization and other corporate functions.
- Conducting pre-acquisition due diligence or market research of real estate development opportunities.
- Preparing financing packages for prospective lenders.
- Coordinating lender visits to development sites and investment presentations to lenders.
- Performs other special projects as assigned related to in-depth expense, headcount and capital spending analysis.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or professional degree such as ACCA/CIMA required. MBA preferred.
- 4-7 years of financial analysis-related experience especially in senior level.
- Working experience in financial accounting, management accounting, financial analysis, financial modeling, planning, forecasting and management reporting are a must. Would be an added advantage if have related working experience from a large property development company.
- Detail oriented with excellent analytical, quantitative and investigative skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Comfortable in a team environment with changing priorities and time pressures.
- Highly motivated with ability to work independently within the context of a matrix organization and drive results.
- Able to handle responsibilities with poise, ease and confidence.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills ensure that relevant stakeholders are kept apprised of project progress and challenges, while ensuring that the level of detail is appropriate for each audience.
- Equally capable of handling large, complex projects, as well as multitasking across a number of smaller ones, adapting management style to fit the situation.
- Advanced capabilities and experience in the use and application of PC tools, mainly Excel and other MS Office.
- Good command of English, Malay & Mandarin (will be an added advantage).
